Elsbeth discovers her new voice
itCampus has just revealed the ‘Voice of Elsbeth’.
Contact centre agents from across the UK entered the competition, with the final taken place at the North East Contact Centre Awards in Sunderland. The judges selected Kerrina Farrow from Royal & Sun Alliance in Bristol, who walked away with the prize money of 3,000.
Together with the other two finalists (Jules Ord-Hume from Invesco Perpetual and Leah Goldie from Newcastle based EDS Cobalt), Kerrina was flown in to Newcastle airport and spent the day with a vocal coach in a recording studio to obtain professional voice samples. These were then judged at the Contact Centre Awards dinner, by judges Shona Harper (of CCP Ltd), Paul McFarling (of EMAX Consulting) and Thomas Riegel (of itCampus).
“The quality of entrants from all over the UK has been outstanding and the competition was very tight. All three finalists were remarkable but Kerrina’s voice sample was judged to be the best fit for ‘Elsbeth’ – the character that fronts our award winning predictive dialler and voice recording system. It was also felt that her lively and professional delivery reflected perfectly the young and dynamic culture of itCampus”, said Robert Denbeigh, itCampus’ client relations manager.
Elsbeth is a predictive dialler and voice recording system, which in the two years since its launch has become the best selling system in German call centres and is now the flagship product from itCampus UK Ltd.
The Elsbeth system talks to call centre agents, giving updates on their calls and information of forthcoming contacts. Kerrina’s voice was felt to be the embodiment of Elsbeth – young, funky, friendly and approachable and her voice will now be used by the system as the ‘Voice of Elsbeth’.
