I 've been thinking about the Seven Wonders of the World.

You know the ones;
- The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
- The Pyramids at Giza
- The Pharos of Rhodes
- Silbury Hill
- Wookey Hole
- Cheddar Gorge
- The Clifton Suspension Bridge
(have I been living in the west Country to long?)

I was wondering about what the 7 Wonders of the Call Centre World would be?

So far I have
- The Automatic Call Distributor (the original technology that made it all happen)
- First Direct (one of the great call centre pioneers)
- Speech Analytics (one of the most exciting technologies to come out in years)
- Leeds (the first UK call centre captital)

Any other ones that you think should be on the list?

The IVR: everybody thinks they need one, but not all companies should have one. :D

Call Recording. In my experience, it has changed drastically the way we handle Quality Assurance.

Data Protection - No call should be complete without it!

Jonty,

We mustn't forget the Predictive Dialler. I can remember running outbound telemarketing campaigns manually dialling and having to prepare reports on agent performance stats manually.
