Appointment setting targets

Hi Guys,

We are new to outbound calling as we usally buy in leads.

We are currently looking at setting a new target for our telesales team but we are unsure how many appointments we should set them to generate per month.

We currently supply business mobiles to companies across the UK. We have reps that cover the UK.

What do you feel a reasonable booked and sat appointment target should be each month.

At the moment they are entering there dials and monitoring leads on a database.

Appointments are our best conversion.

Alot of this depends on the data you have to work with and the type of companies your are trying to get appointments with and your general offering and the compelling reason to buy your serives

Good data costs money so it makes a difference as to the quality and quantity

A rule of thumb for me with making appointments on a 9-5 day is anything from 1 appointment to 3 appointments per day and my rule is quality not quantity and within reason 100 dials a day is another good target.

Also experience comes in to this as well, a newbie is going to make less than someone who has done it for a few years

Hope this helps

Regards

you could look at what the average is , have your staff set the targets( usually find t/m's are harsher on themselves then we are ).

You could also put in a stretch target , then revisit the results and reassess your targets.

Hi We have set a target of 15 sat appointments a month.

They do generate allot of in house paper leads but we know the best conversion is face to face!

We are working hard to convert as many appointments. We have bought in data which they go through when they first start. The harder they work the more they convert.
