Avaya Sound Quality issues for Agents

Hi all, today we tried to move my team onto the Avaya system (previously we used Symposium and a Nortel switch). The agents are using plantronics wireless headsets. The sound quality was awful tinny and the agents could hear what they were saying to customers with a fraction of a seconds delay. We played about with the settings on the headsets but were unable to get good quality sound. We have moved back to symposium.

So, can any of you offer any advice?

Hey Bunnycatz

We are also using an Avaya phone system, but we have the avaya plug in headsets, these seem to work just fine.

It may be another expense but I am sure if you can return your plantronics headsets you should get some money off of the new headsets.

Thanks for the update so Avaya make their own headsets? I'll pass that on :O)

Have you tried the Plantronics help desk? They have generally been very helpful to me.

I think that there are a range of different settings for different phone systems.

They would probably be able to help you.

Hi Bunnycatz,

Give our support desk a call on 0800 410014, they will be able to help you on this. Our wireless headsets are compatible with Avaya - its just a case of getting the settings right.

I've also asked our account team to phone our contacts at your site.
