Just a short note.

We try to maintain a soft touch when it comes to moderation
on this forum, however, obviously there are times when we have
to take action, adverts and 'junk' posts being the prime examples.

There are also other issues that can lead to moderation, editing and
even deletion. These include 'scripted' conversations and the carrying
of personal issues / disputes onto the forum.

We have seen a large number of posts in the past week or so resolving
to the same batch of IP addresses, I'll not be more specific than
East Scotland, where the posters appear to be 'sock puppets'.

Please be aware that we do monitor every post, do check anything looking
suspicious and WILL delete anything we deem inappropriate.
Our editorial policy is that any opinion is valid, but, mis-use of the fora is not an acceptable behaviour.

This of course only applies to a very small percentage of our posters

Ok, for some reason I get to play 'Bad cop'

Just to reiterate the sites policy regarding advertising
on the forum, and, basically it's a no no.....

Posts along the lines of "We do x so call yyyy" or
the attempted sneaky hiding of an address or company
pitch in a post will be removed...

We aim to provide a forum for idea(s) exchange and, whilst we
appreciate that a lot of our members are industry players and
therefore do have a lot to offer in terms of knowledge; the fora
are not there as an advertising media.

That said, Jonty can play 'good cop' and advise on
the various methods of advertising with CCH!

Apologies if I have in advertantly offended anyone, but,
policy is policy.....
