Should they do this? What are your opinions?

Absolutley not no more offshoring.... everyone who supplies me with any services who thereafter offshores gets the boot. Time we stopped lying down for everyone to walk over us.

In all my dealings with offshore call centres the customer service is awful. The training they give these staff must be dreadful. At the end of the day if they want to move it they will, it's all down to money and greed.

If it is anything like the BT contact centre in India then no way should they open a contact centre over there,

Why many of the countries off shoring their businesses ? Better performance with less cost at given point of time. Any wise business man will definitely go for it . secondly for contingencies. Look at the large MN C's why are they coming to India ? because of the cost arbitrage and better efficiency. I do agree a bit with the call center training and language skills however the data entry is exceptionally doing good compared to most of the host countries .
