Hi guys, I am going to start outsourcing to a specific industry where; when their clients ring and they don't answer, they will get diverted to our number. But there will then be times when we have to phone their client back.

So any thoughts on - o845, o8oo numbers and best providers and for 10 employees, the price I should be paying for hosting, including all of the equipment per employee.

Many many thanks

OK,

Not entirely certain what you're aiming at...

All you need is a DDI for the diverted calls to come into.

I'm not entirely sure where the 0845/0800 requirements
fit in the picture.

Can you clarify how YOU see the telephony setup working?

Hi Dave, yeh sorry, I guess its a bit cryptic.

We are going to be receiving calls from customers of our clients, which have been diverted to us from our clients phone line, to us, because our clients havn't answered their own phones or their offices are closed at that time.

Therefore, we need a number for our clients to divert calls from their customers to, and also need a number to put on our website for business/sales enquiries from new clients.

Some of the calls we receive will need to be actioned on, and that will need us to call another party, then call that original caller back.

Once this has been done, our system needs to be able to have recorded that action (not the call itself), just the time, the action, the outcome. Then send it to the client.

So I need to receive calls, make them, and I need intergrated pc/phone functionality.

I am starting small, 5 staff, maybe 10. But may need to expand operations as my B2B sales team sign up new clients.

I have limited resources, so am looking for hosting solutions, with a set price for everything, from head sets, to pc's, to whole thing.

I am wanting minimum outlay as to be honest, the industry I am targeting has no outsourcing history, so its completely untested.

Hope that helps.

Many thanks

Ok.....

With hosting you'll still need some infrastructure, turrets and headsets etc...

The divert line into you needs to be a geographical DDI not an 08xx linkline
number although that will probably be dependant on who hosts your system.

I'm also interested in what you mean by phone/PC functionality, I'm assuming
something like CLI coupled with you current client Database.

As far as a dedicated 08xx number for your direct inbound, again, this may be
something that you can get included with the hosting, although, as a caveat, make sure you can move it should you change hosts.

Can I just generally remind everyone regarding the advertising policy for the site.

Cheers Dave,

Ok, so the host would supply a phone line, and the functiuonality, but not the hardware, so i would need say, 5 pc's, 5 head sets for five staff.

The host would provide the number, and I take it my outbound calls would be over the net?

The pc/phone integration, is like you say, a call comes through to us, if its a customer of our client, I would like to be able to get their details up on our screens in the call asap.

But I guess that is an intergration issue more to do with our client.

cheers

Hi Jay,

I work for company that provides full Outsourced contact center solutions. Unfortunately I cannot advise you of my company on this forum. Is there any way of contacting you (maybe via email) so I can show you what solutions may be able to help you.

On the difference between 0800 and 0845, I'm not sure that there is much of a difference in perception these days.

Probably the 0845 number would work out better. You may be surprised by how well a geographic number works. You could buy a number of geographic numbers to cover different regions of the country.

When I started in business I bought a London phone number and was surprised by the number of calls that I got on it.
