The meaning of making it clear to your agent of your ability as a coach or helper proves to the agent that you are fully capable of helping them improvement their performance. I myself always tell them my experience and how long I was an agent and how long as a coach. I also establish that I never lost touch on what it is like being an agent on the phone.

Part of my coaching is taking live calls with the agent next to me so I can demonstrate my abilities and how effective my experience.

Agents like seeing their supervisor taking live calls as the agent will learn to trust you a lot more and be confortable speaking with you.

I have been in centres where the agents are nervous on approaching their supervisors and feel they are interrupting the bosses day.

Always make yourself available to all agents within the centre.
I hope this makes sense but if you were able to see how I do things in person then it would make a lot of sense.

I have developed agents where they are now part of management and utilize my advise.
