Is home working finally set to take off?
It looks like call centre home working might finally be set to take off with the launch of 500 new call centre home working jobs.
The UK has traditionally trailed the US in allowing contact centre staff to work from home but a major new launch will enable the UK industry to catch up and reap the benefits of home working.
Based on success in the US and Australia and a multimillion pound investment in security and technology, TeleTech@Home only employs home-based agents. This enables staff to enjoy flexible working, schedule work time to fit around other commitments such as childcare and avoid the need to commute. It also opens up the employment market to those physically unable to travel – all while still earning at the same rate, and with all the of associated company benefits, as those employed in bricks and mortar locations.
TeleTech@Home is currently looking to recruit 500 staff from across the UK to provide customer service support for its major clients. In addition to benefiting staff, homeworking delivers proven advantages to TeleTech@Home clients. It enables greater flexibility in covering evenings, weekends and holidays while opening up access to a wider pool of employees. TeleTech@Home staff often provide specialised skills including bi- and multilingual capabilities, thus delivering complex, high quality services.
TeleTech@Home is offered by TeleTech, a leading global business process outsourcing (BPO) company that serves two million customers every year in more than 18 countries and 29 languages. In the UK, TeleTech employs 1150 staff at its state-of-the-art delivery centre in Belfast and a further 100 staff between two smaller facilities in Glasgow and Crewe.
Full training is provided and all that is required of the employee is a PC, a broadband connection, landline phone and a quiet working environment .
The application and interview process is entirely phone- and Internet-based via http://www.hirepoint.com/athome/ and takes less than two weeks to complete
