Job Description:
The Company Our client is a market leading financial services provider. The Role:
• To lead and manage key Retail and Marketing related projects that have a positive impact on the performance of the direct business.
• To work with key stakeholders and resources within departments to ensure delivery of Retail and Marketing projects. Key Responsibilities: The job exists to provide a combination of expert project management and detailed business analysis for Retail and Marketing led projects. The job holder will be required to examine business initiatives and issues and to take a structured view of business change to identify the necessary process or system changes required to provide a solution. The job holder will then be required to follow through and manage the implementation of the change, and provide a post project evaluation. The job holder should have a proven track record in Project Management, preferably within a financial services/retail environment. He/she will have an aptitude for logical and analytical problem solving, be a champion of change, possess sound communication skills and have the ability to influence others. As the job holder will be working predominantly on major projects sponsored at Board level, the individual must be comfortable with engaging in robust discussion and decision making with executive managers and directors. Ideally the job holder will have an industry standard professional analytical skills qualification and an industry recognised project management qualification (such as APMP or PRINCE2). The job holder should have the following competencies:
• Be proactive and work under their own initiative
• Adaptive to change and a fast moving environment
• Able to make decisions
• Strong listening and communication skills and a tenacious ability to manage stakeholders - including negotiation with and influencing others. This will involve being able to interview stakeholders and facilitate business workshops across all functions.
• A strong aptitude for logical and analytical thinking
• Robust problem solving
• Planning and organisation skills
• Knowledge of the project life cycle, project management practices and principles
