This company are looking for a Collections Supervisor to lead, manage and develop a team of telephone collectors to ensure that collections targets are met. Reporting to the Collections Manager, you will be responsible for the following: -Ensuring operations are run to maximum efficiency -Managing client and debtor relations as appropriate -Dealing with non-routine negotiations and any issues escalated from team members -Responsible for the day to day management, coaching and supervision of a team of telephone collectors (either pre-legal or legal) to ensure collection targets are met -Ensuring all staff are trained and developed to meet business requirements -Continually motivate all employees to achieve departmental targets -Establishing and maintaining contact with internal departments and external organisations. -Producing reports and statistics as required, making recommendations where appropriate (As required) -Ensuring that complaints / disputes are dealt with effectively To be successful in this role, the client has stipulated that the candidate will need:
• 2 years experience of debt recovery or credit control
• Previous experience or knowledge of the Data Protection and Consumer Credit Acts is desirable
• Excellent people management, numeric and negotiation skills
• Ability to think quickly, efficiently and effectively
• Computer literate The salary will increase to £21k after 6 months and then £22k after 12 months. Working hours will be on a rota basis operating from 8.45am-8pm Mon to Fri and also 9am-1m on Saturday
