Job Description - Operations Project Manager
You will need to be a talented and self-directed Project Manager who will help define, optimize, and run the process to manage operational centres
Key Areas Of Responsibility:
- The position has two main components: Project Management Process and Technology Analysis Design Project Management:
- Day-to-day running of multiple projects
- Managing various phases of the Project Lifecycle including working with Business Units, functions and users, facilitating workshops and documenting user requirements
- Ability to scope, plan and budget projects
- Working closely with business owners
- Supervising and managing Project teams
- Building a successful team-working environment
- Ensure that all projects are executed within budget, to time and to high standards
- Manage risk around project timelines, budget, scope, and quality
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshooting of issues
- Communicate and coordinate fixes and deployments through appropriate technology and business teams. Provide on-going communication of status and risks to management teams internally
- Create and institutionalize appropriate processes into the existing business
- Ensure Project documentation is completed to a high standard
- Provide support to ensure transitions are successful
- Design, organize and manage controlled tests to establish Project requirements have been met and to quantify Business benefits Process Technology Analysis, and Design Business analysis on projects, including gathering client and user requirements and defining functional requirements
- Using proven methods, analyse processes and technologies Technical analysis of projects Assess potential designs for solving issues and assert tradeoffs and recommendation for solutions
- Ensure work is prioritised Utilize and apply wide range of data gathering and analysis methods to support Projects throughout the Project lifecycle
- Provide on-going communication to for driving continuous improvements across the operation Work with other project initiatives to identify impacts and opportunities on existing processes and practices
Experience and Qualifications:
Essential
- High degree of competency with project management
- Experience gathering somewhat ambiguous business requirements and turning them into detailed designs and specifications.
- Moderate level of understanding of technologies required to run operational centres
- Ability to creatively solve challenging business/technology problems. Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Proven ability to work cross functionally to drive the high level designs as well as resolve lower level operational issues.
- Willingness to travel 25% of the time Prince 2 or PMI certification preferred
