Working closely with external providers and customer representatives, you will achieve the best financial results at the earliest opportunity. As a Legacy Claims Technician your main responsibilities will involve:
• Handling referrals, claims and complaints ensuring conclusion or escalation as appropriate
• Personally handling large and complex cases
• Gathering and accurately analysing appropriate information in order to make the best business decision
• Providing day-to-day technical guidance and feedback to others to improve their effectiveness and delivery against targets
• Following agreed processes, policies and procedures to ensure quality and service standards are met and leakage is minimised
• Acting as peer auditor as required
• Providing input to the Unit Leader in order to identify and best utilise the skills of team members and to ensure appropriate licensing coverage within team As a Legacy Claims Technician your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
• Knowledge of licensing and compliance framework
• Excellent relationship management skills
• Experienced in managing customer expectations
• Knowledge of industry codes of practice, relevant legislation and regulatory requirements What we will be looking for in you: A confident decision maker with the ability to think laterally, you will possess the tenacity and resilience to see claims through to the right conclusion. You will be comfortable influencing both internal and external relationships and be prepared to take risks in pursuing entrepreneurial resolution of claims. Your ability to remain positive when dealing with difficult people or situations will be integral to your success as Legacy Claims Technician.
