The Project Manager professionally owns the delivery of projects within the Contact Centre Programme Portfolio, in adherence to the Project Delivery Model.
The Project Manager is responsible and accountable for the coordinated management of multiple related projects each dealing with key business needs. The projects in question will be largely focussed on process and operational improvements.
This requires a close relationship with Contact Centre Operations including Training and Quality departments, as well as other areas of the business. The Project Manager will have the credibility and gravitas to deal with people at Senior Management level and hold discussions with development and operational teams.
A strong background in an operational environment such as a Contact Centre is essential, along with excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to drive others to deliver to a schedule.
Specifically:
- The Project Manager working with the Operations Programme Manager strictly ensures the adherence to the Governance model.
- Initiate projects from a brief, creating a PID
- Plan out projects to tight deadlines with detailed activities
- Work with others for the definition, review and approval of project requirements & success metrics
- Work with the Operations Programme Manager for the resource assignment and organisational commitment to plans
- Manage project team in a matrix environment that is spread across many company functions to assure delivery to agreed plan
- Effective, systematic, high quality team communication and stakeholder management
- Identification of risks & proactive leadership to define & gain decisions on mitigation
- Proactive identification, communication and resolution of issues
- Maintain a central repository of baselined/approved project deliverables
- Define and manage process to assure quality of project deliverables
- Ensure effective change control on key project deliverables
- Responsible for making recommendations on priority of projects in order to help optimize the sharing of resources to the overall benefit
- Personal ownership of project from end-to-end (concept to closure)

The Project Manager will be responsible for delivering projects/programmes in two or more of the following areas:
- Process Improvement
- Training system definition and implementation
- Organisational definition and change projects
- Definition and delivery of reporting information
- Application development and rollout
