Sales Training Manager

To develop a dedicated training programme that anticipates the ongoing training needs required to rapidly evolve Sales to become world class in the delivery of customer service and sales excellence.
Responsible for all aspects of training, coaching and development within a sales environment with a key focus on enhancing selling techniques, improved planning and product knowledge, PC and system applications and adoption and adherence to all aspects of governance.
Key responsibilities:
Develop a Sales training and development strategy which meets key business objectives and priorities.
Review existing induction processes to ensure they meet the evolving needs of Sales.
Work with the Sales team leaders to identify the key training and development priorities, which support the business objectives.
Plan and co-ordinate the training schedules for Sales team leaders.
Apply project management principles to manage all training outcomes.
Support the design, development and implementation of effective evaluation methods
Establish robust Key Performance Indicators and report regularly on performance against them.
Continually review progress against plan, training best practice and implement improvements as appropriate.
Deliver training as required.
Manage the effective design and delivery of training solutions to delegates on time and on budget, where applicable.
Create, own & deliver structured induction, coaching and
development programmes across Sales.
Support and lead team leaders with motivation and positive example behaviours.
Demonstrate role model Barclays behaviours and cultivate Sales champion behaviours.
Identify opportunities for improvements to existing training methodologies/ processes/quality programmes within the business and fully exploit those opportunities.
Work with Sales teams to identify key needs and improvements to drive performance towards the vision.
Identify future training needs for Sales to maximise efficiency and productivity.
On behalf of Sales interface with Learning & Development and ensure that Sales are getting maximum value from the central team and the services they offer.
Ensure that key stakeholders agree service standards and that their service expectations are managed.
Manage and nurture external relationships and develop networks within Banking Sales / Finance industry.
Experience.
A degree or diploma of similar status in teaching or training.
Previous financial services training, coaching and mentoring.
Organisation and planning.
High degree of analytical skills.
Development of team leaders.
Excellent PC skills including the ability to use Power point and Excel as a planning and analysis tool.
Ability to analyse information, research possible options and provide logical recommendations.
The role requires the ability to work unsupervised to achieve a number of tasks to predefined deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Preferred
Formal coaching and mentoring experience including registration with a recognised international coaching and mentoring body.
