The Role:

The job holder is responsible for managing and a team of highly motivated sales people within an outbound department.

You must motivate staff to achieve and exceed the agreed sales targets whilst understanding the “We can help” and “by matching customers’ needs” philosophies of the organisation.

You must have a very high quality focus as you will also be responsible for ensuring that all Customer Service SLA’s are maintained and that regulatory compliance is always adhered to.

The Sales Manager is also responsible for the hands on operational running of all the teams within the Contact Centre. These teams handle customer and prospect enquiries and sell the organisations retail products including:

• Mortgages and re-mortgages
• Banking and investment products
• General insurance and protection products

In addition to the day to day management, the Sales Manager has a key role in influencing the future direction and scope of the Contact Centre. Their input into the sales and customer service strategies forms a key element of the Contact Centre strategy.

All teams are currently focused on handling inbound call traffic but the Centre will be re-structured to re-focus the Sales Teams’ effort on outbound activity.

Requirements:

The Contact Centre Sales Manager is responsible for:

• Team profitability
• Developing and maintaining a positive sales performance culture
• Motivating and mentoring the Team Managers to exceed the agreed sales targets and customer service SLAs
• Agreeing targets and setting team and individual objectives
• Developing and delivering appropriate bonus and incentive schemes
• Monitoring sales and productivity performance against the agreed targets on a daily basis
• Supporting the Head of Contact Centre by taking a leading role within the Contact Centre Management Team
• Acting as champion for the brand values of the organisation and the agreed culture of the Contact Centre
• Ensuring all changes within the operation are managed
• All compliance issues relating to the sales and customer service activity
• Identifying and managing risk within the Contact Centre teams and either resolving or escalating specific issues
• All personal development within the team and for succession planning
• Representing the Contact Centre internally and with customers
• Supporting the Head of Contact Centre and the HR department in all recruitment of Contact Centre staff

Requirements:

• A minimum of 5 years contact centre experience
• A minimum of 3 years management experience
• Measurable and consistent track record of success within financial services sales management, preferably in a regulated environment
• Educated to ‘A’ level standard or above

Remuneration:

Benefits: Excellent Bonus (50%), Health Care, Pension, Free Car Park
Salary: £28,000
