Our client, one of the largest Financial Services organisations in the UK has the requirement for an exceptionally gifted MI professional to join as Head of MI.
The Head of MI will be responsible for:

• The accurate and timely production and delivery of all MI required by stakeholders to manage its business and monitor its business performance.
• Development and execution of the MI strategy
• Further development and maintenance of the MI infrastructure
• Leadership and development of a team of information development and information support specialists

Managing a team of 5 who are responsible for providing all MI (telephony and digital channels) across all divisions (Customer Services, Sales and specialist product divisions – Mortgages, cards etc) the successful candidate will be a highly credible MI Professional who will:

• Overall responsibility for managing the MI Change process and change board.
• Responsibility for ensuring MI requests that are made to other areas of the business are delivered against requirements to the appropriate quality and in a timely manner
• Raising Issues, proposing solutions to issues and managing the risk of non-delivery of MI when being produced by a supplier.
• Supporting the group wide initiative to change the business in to a data driven organisation
• Ensure that the divisions are actively involved in and take a leading role in any technical or process driven changes to the provision of MI across the wider UK business
• Ensure that any functional or data specification work for any change projects materially effecting MI provision are fit for purpose and align to strategy and vision
• Providing advice and guidance for any change projects and programmes having MI demands or impact MI reports and processes

This role requires someone who has exceptional relationship management and stakeholder management skills. The successful candidate will possess the following experience and skills:

• The jobholder must be highly proficient in MI tools, techniques and services relevant to MI, with a broad awareness of those used throughout other business areas, whilst maintaining a key interest in emerging developments in the marketplace.
• Will be fully up-to-date with the leading-edge developments/future trends in the use of MI and the systems and process to provide MI.
• Must have detailed knowledge of project management techniques
• Must have c5 years experience of working in a Direct to Consumer type of business
• Must have c5years experience of working in the provision of MI solutions to the business
• Seen as leading expert/fountain of knowledge by colleagues in a similar role of MI
