Movers and Shakers – December 2011
It has been a busy old year for industry appointments and promotions.
Here we bring you our last ‘Movers and Shakers’ round-up for 2011, which includes appointments at Spokenfor, B2B CM, Aeriandi, City Lifeline, True North Human Capital and Convergys.
Spokenfor appoints Compliance Director to its Brighton team

Kevin Richardson
Spokenfor, a 200-seat contact centre in Brighton, has appointed Kevin Richardson to fulfil the role of Compliance Director.
As part of the company’s strategy to ensure robust compliant processes and procedures, Richardson will be responsible for all compliance and risk implementation at Spokenfor. He will report to the company’s Managing Director, Gavin Miller.
Commenting on the importance of compliance to the call centre industry, Gavin Miller said: “Compliance will be at the top of the agenda for any reputable contact centre. Clients want to know that they are putting their business with a company committed to implementing industry regulations and adhering to all the relevant compliance procedures. Kevin will be responsible for ensuring that our management team continually delivers commitment to excellence to all our clients.”
Kevin said of his new role: “It’s an exciting time to be joining Spokenfor. The company is focused on exceeding client expectations in both performance delivery and quality. This continuous improvement approach has recently been reinforced by the achievement of ISO 9001 Accreditation and PCI DSS Compliance which reassures clients of the management team’s commitment to excellence.”
Oli Rhys joins B2B CM as Head of IT and Analytics

Oli comes to B2B CM with more than 15 years’ experience of helping businesses drive their growth and has worked for both Flintshire County Council, as ICT Business Advisor, and the Welsh Assembly, as Business Support Manager, offering support, guidance and insight into how companies can best structure their ICT requirements to deliver on business objectives.
Managing Director of B2B CM, Stella Jones, said, “Oli is a hugely talented individual and his appointment will further strengthen our senior team. Successful B2B telemarketing involves complex data management, and Oli’s skills are already helping B2B CM’s clients reach their goals more efficiently.”
Oli Rhys said of his appointment: “I’m proud to be joining the B2B CM team. The opportunity to help make sure B2B CM continue delivering clients’ telemarketing campaigns effectively, and provide our customers with the information and resources they need to achieve their business goals, is something I’m really looking forward to.”
Aeriandi continue to expand with a new appointment
Customer contact software provider Aeriandi have appointed Paul Clayton as Service Delivery Manager. He joins their team of 12 employees and will work alongside Matthew Bryars, Chief Executive.
Paul, who has spent his career working for software companies including Hewlett Packard and Sophos, comments: “The role at Aeriandi is a fantastic opportunity. I have a lot of experience of delivering complex software projects across multiple sectors and a strong IT background running CRM and quality assurance programmes. Aeriandi have an impressive track record and are working with some of today’s leading brands. I am looking forward to creating an even more robust framework with an increased focus on quality so that they can deliver even greater results.”
Matthew Bryars, Chief Executive at Aeriandi, comments: “We are delighted to have Paul on board. This is an important appointment for us as it bridges the gap between operations and our clients. Paul is an ambassador for our company and will help us to develop long-term trusted relationships with our clients.”
City Lifeline appoints a new head of sales
City Lifeline has appointed Lance Wright as head of sales to lead and develop the company’s commercial business strategy and generate new customers.
Commenting on the new appointment, City Lifeline’s managing director, Roger Keenan, says: “Lance has a wealth of experience to bring to the role which will help complement our business strategy. I am confident that he will be able to take the business where it needs to go by building solid relationships and exploring new and exciting business opportunities.”

It is a great place to be as we have recently upgraded our infrastructure and are able to offer improved, reliable connectivity to current and prospective customers,” comments Lance Wright.
Mark Moreau appointed as Commercial Director at True North Human Capital

Mark Moreau
True North has appointed Mark Moreau to the newly created position of Commercial Director. Moreau, who has been with the company since 2009, will take responsibility for driving strategic new business initiatives as well as the key account management programmes.
Norman Burden, CEO of True North, commented: ‘Mark has been one of the key hires made by the company since we launched; his dedication, hard work and attitude makes him a hit with colleagues and clients alike. Joan E. Herman Elected to the Board of Directors of Convergys
Convergys Corporation has elected Joan E. Herman to its Board of Directors.
“We are delighted to have Joan Herman join the Board of Directors,” said Philip A. Odeen, Convergys’ non-executive Chairman of the Board. “Joan’s expertise in the healthcare vertical and her operational experience as president and chief executive officer of Wellpoint’s consumer business unit will enhance the depth and range of Convergys’ already strong Board.”
