One week until closing date for North East Contact Centre Awards
Think you could be a winner at the 2010 North East Contact Centre Awards?
Well, there’s still time to enter before the application deadline on Friday 3rd September.
To help your entry stand out, follow the top tips of our judging panel and boost your chances in the competition:
- Before entering the awards, make sure you check the rules for the competition and the individual category you are entering (details can be found in the application packs). Both of these elements have changed this year so it’s important to familiarise yourself with the judging criteria.
- Ensure your content specifically matches the criteria for the award. Don’t simply fit the content to the criteria.
- There are two main ways of structuring your entry a) an integrated approach which details a series of examples or projects which meet the criteria or b) a criteria-led approach, using each of the criteria as a sub-heading and then detailing achievements within each. There is no right and wrong here, so choose the format which works best for you.
- Demonstrate the strength of your achievements using examples and make sure your writing is results focused and not simply narrative or descriptive.
- The best applications use the word limit to their advantage by writing as close to the word allowance as possible. If you are well below the limit, consider adding fresh examples and evidence.
- Always check for spelling and grammar before submitting your entry. Submissions with mistakes indicate a lack of care and attention.
- Finally, your submission must have the approval and signature of a proposer (Line Manager for categories 1 to 7 and Contact Centre Manager for categories 8 and 9). This is an important validation that endorses your application.
The awards are a great way for you to get the recognition you deserve and to boost the profile of your organisation – so make sure you get your entry in before the deadline.
