Staff at Tesco call centre in Cardiff recently took part in a Red Nose Day choir which created a massive buzz and a huge amount of fun.
X-factor style auditions (called “Nose Factor”) were held in the centre with the best 30 being selected and given a golden ticket. The judges fitted into their roles well with their very own Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Cheryl Cole being filled by Keith Myers-Sleight, Suzanne Cox and Michelle Dunn.
Along with around 70 other singers they belted out the song “Islands In The Stream” which is the comic relief single. On the day they managed to raise £580 towards their target of £1,000.

Over 70 employees from Salisbury based HPI took more than 2,000 donations. On the night, the largest single pledge taken was £1,000, and HPI boosted this with a further £1,250 raised in-house with fundraising antics though out the week.
Their contact centre hosted an 80’s theme fancy dress party, and all staff supported the HPI fete, which included a BBQ, tombola, guess the weight of the cake competition, plus a bottle and book stall.
Nick Lindsay, Director of HPI says: “HPI staff that volunteered for this year’s Comic Relief telethon approached the challenge with a fantastic attitude. There were plenty of laughs, and most importantly, HPI took over £65,000 in pledges for the charity”.
