Scottish contact centre receives recognition

Last week the company was adjudged the best in Scotland by the Call Centre Management Association as one of nine European companies to be awarded the European Confederation of Contact Centre Organisations Trophy 2008.
In addition, Senior Accounts Manager Marco Kelly and Team Leader Barrie Wilkins were shortlisted for the CCMA Awards. And at the same time, Sykes was also been nominated as a finalist in the Customer Focus category of the National Business Awards for its unique partnership with US-based CareerBuilder, now the world’s largest job search operation. With Sykes’s help, utilising both IT and services based Edinburgh, CareerBuilder has already established a Europe-wide network in 14 national markets working in 10 languages in less than a year.
Employing some 700 communicators in Scotland, Sykes operates out of Edinburgh and has a fulfilment centre in Galashiels. The company also manages a spread of call centres throughout Europe and South Africa and is part of a worldwide operation.
