The Listening Company opens new contact centre in Newcastle
The Listening Company is to open a contact centre at St. James Gate in Newcastle, leading to the creation of up to 1,000 new jobs.
This follows a year that has seen the company acquire specialist contact centre The essentiagroup and collect ‘Contact Centre of the Year’ at the Connect Awards for the second year running. The new contact centre, which is due to open at the beginning of November, will be The Listening Company’s second operation in the city, following the acquisition of The essentiagroup’s office in Newcastle. With revenues of £55 million, the combined group of Listening Companies now employs 2,500 people and has operations in six locations including Glasgow, Brora, Tonbridge, Richmond and Portsmouth.
Neville Upton, The Listening Company says: “Newcastle ticks a number of boxes for us in terms of supporting our ambitious growth plans. We have a strong presence in the South of England and through our acquisition of the essentiagroup we already have a base in City and this second operation will give us a good geographical spread. The opening of the contact centre will create great employment opportunities for the region.”

Hi,
I understand that you’re creating a lot of employment in Newcastle, I was wondering where you are advertising these positions? Many Thanks
