Winners of the Talking Tayside Awards 2009

The local contact centre industry came together for the Talking Tayside Awards, which celebrate the very best of the contact centres located across Angus, Dundee and Perth and their 8,000+ employees.

The award ceremony took place during the Talking Tayside Black & White Ball, a glamorous event which was held at the Apex Hotel in Dundee. The ball was attended by over 170 people, who enjoyed dinner, dancing and a highly entertaining after-dinner talk by Comedian, Stephen Dick.  However, the highlight of the evening was the eagerly awaited presentation of the Talking Tayside Awards 2009, including the Contact Centre of the Year Award.

Acting Managing Director, Trisha Pirie, said: “I’m delighted that we were able to beat off very strong internationally known competition to win this award.  Our achievement in gaining this recognition is down to the dedication, commitment and professionalism of the entire team at Journeycall, and I’m extremely proud to work with such an impressive group of people”.

Debbie Baird, Chair of Talking Tayside, revealed that she had been astounded by the incredibly high standard of the entries for the Talking Tayside Awards 2009 and was delighted with the choices made by the independent panel of judges. “All the winners shone in their individual categories – and Tesco is a very well-deserved winner of the Contact Centre of the Year award,” said Debbie.
