The Professional Planning Forum is announcing a restructure at the top of their team.
Steve Woosey, formerly Membership Director, will take on the role of Chief Executive, to lead the drive to professionalise the industry and expand best practice in planning across all customer contact channels.
“Ably supported by a strong team including John Casey, who will continue as Director of Professional Development, with Colin Whelan now leading on both Training and Best Practice and Dave Vernon taking responsibility for membership support and our new business accreditation, I am delighted to take on this role,” explains Steve. “I have been involved in the Planning Forum for many years now, as a member, an award winner and a Director. For me, the opportunity to lead the Forum at such an exciting time for us and our members is a great honour. We have a fantastic, growing membership which is hugely involved in our drive to professionalise the industry. We can now offer professional accreditation as well as certification and a dynamic programme of events.”
Paul Smedley, who founded the Professional Planning Forum in 2000 to promote best practice, professionalism and provide specialist support for contact centre professionals who take resource planning seriously, will take the role of Chair of the Planning Forum. He will continue to be actively involved in the planning community, but take a more strategic role in the future – building up new initiatives and continuing to develop the Annual Conference and Innovation Awards programme. “I know that Steve will do a great job in continuing to support our members and promote best practice. We encourage members to ‘Expand Horizons’, which is what we will be doing as we increase the reach of the Forum to take Best Practice into all customer contact operations.”
