Changing Helpdesk Software - What Other Solutions Are Out There?

First Call Helpdesk

I'm looking at changing my Helpdesk Software from vivantio Serivce Desk - what other solutions are out there?
I run a 24/7 outsourced Customer Service Helpdesk, and have been facing several challenges with my current service desk.

Can anyone introduce me to/recommend a product/solution that I could change to?
We currently use Contact World to answer our calls, I would like the new solution to have an API that links to this. We have multiple brands that we work on behalf of, so it is also necessary for my service desk to have the ability to log multiple callers across multiple companies. I would also like to implement chat per client and for this to populate within the new solution. Also the support must be 24/7

Salesforce and Desk.com have APIs into ContactWorld
For out of the box API connectivity both Salesforce and Desk.com have integrations into NewVoiceMedia's ContactWorld ACD. They also have a public API so it should be possible to integrate other HelpDesk software into teh ACD systems.
