what is the diffference between lost calls and no answer(timeout)

Varies.

Normally dependant on the phone management system...

As a VERY VERY generic description..

A 'lost call' is exactly that ANY call that has not

terminated at either an agent, OR, routed to a relevant

voice segment / mailbox, therefore terminating regardless of

queuing duration.

A 'no answer(timeout)' has been terminated BY THE SYSTEM due

to being in the queue for a pre-determined length of time

without either reaching an agent or relevant voice segment / mailbox.

However, there are other definitions available, some ignore

calls that abandon under 5 seconds (Meridian) etc..

Hope it helps.
