Through a series of tweets, Alison Brundle takes a look at the issues call centres face when address data isn’t kept up to date.
Delivery downfalls
Having accurate customer addresses is important for organisations that provide a delivery service to their customers, for example retailers.
When there’s a problem with the delivery address it can cause delays, disappointment and, in the worst cases, a refund or replacement goods.
As you can tell from the tweets below, everyone looks forward to receiving their order in a timely fashion.

Negative brand perception
If someone has decided to spend money with you then can’t complete the checkout, this is understandably a major source of frustration.
Despite having address lookup, these well-known brands are let down by inferior data or poor implementation.

All kinds of organisation can experience issues
Don’t create unnecessary obstacles for your users.
As these messages show, all kinds of organisation can have issues when address data isn’t kept up to date.

If your address data isn’t bang up to date, you are bound to have to deal with frustrated customers in your call centre.
