What are the critical issues your team needs to address during 2017? The Forum are now enrolling organisations on their third annual challenge programme, which helps to deliver effective improvements, gain value from their professional network and learn from best practice.

This year-long programme offers you the chance to tackle your own goals and issues, and includes tutorials, regional workshops, conferences and other best practice events, that provide resources to support you in realising these changes and improvements.

Previous participants have found these challenge programmes extremely effective in realising a wide range of initiatives and gaining stakeholder engagement.

Still not convinced? Here is what these previous participants had to say about their experience with the programme:

Yorkshire Building Society: “We created 2 weeks’ worth of capacity within the team by improving what we do through the Challenge; that’s excluding savings in the operation, where the benefits of better planning take longer to roll out.”

Geoban: “The key step was getting the right people engaged; I sometimes felt I was spending all my time talking but this is what made my Challenge project a success. It’s important to allow enough time for engagement. When this was in place, everything else came together really quickly.”

RS Components: “We created a new Quality & Customer Experience function. The Forum Challenge has supported us all year, from the binder full of amazing information to the best practice weeks, which gave us a new way of thinking. It’s been a great to network, share best practice and gain support.”

Student Loans Company: “We have updated our QA to drive improvement. We gathered insight from a cross-section of customers and from advisors, using the Challenge to prepare our proposals and compare our approach with other organisations.”

Summing up was John Senior, Workforce Information Analyst at the Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust, who added that: “The Challenge has given me a place to discuss my issues and get ideas from others who can understand the issues. I’ve also been able to listen to others discussing their own issues and options they consider to resolve them. A great deal of confidence has come from being involved with The Forum.”

The Challenge will help you to:

  • Maximise your impact as a team, on the key business imperatives for your organisation
  • Set a well-defined delivery objective that is backed up by a comprehensive support mechanism to resolve the issues you have defined
  • Use a Forum methodology & resources to analyse critical problems, engage stakeholders and create the capacity for change
  • Benchmark your approaches to validate their suitability
  • Learn from peer review as well as expert, specialist support
