Welsh agents have spread some festive cheer by collecting Christmas presents for local children in care.
This year, every child and teenager in care in the local area was asked to write a Christmas Wish List to Torfaen Social Services. The organisation has since been seeking individuals to offer their help by donating a gift from the wish list, so that they can put smiles back on the children’s faces on Christmas morning.
Fullcircle, based in Llantarnam, have joined in the appeal, with members of staff donating not just some of the presents on the lists, but all of them, to 27 teenagers.
“I have been donating gifts to Torfaen Social Services for many years now,” said Aaron Flowers, an Administration Supervisor for Fullcircle. “I think it is so important to support these children, as they all deserve love and encouragement. I have been overwhelmed by the generosity of my fellow colleagues at Fullcircle; everyone has contributed and each of the parcels includes gifts to the value of £75-£100. It is such a great feeling to be able to deliver 27 parcels which will help to make Christmas special for them.”
