The Children in Need Appeal Show returns this Friday, 14th November 2025, and you don’t need to be on the phones to make a difference!

Each year, contact centres across the UK rally together to support this incredible cause, raising thousands of pounds to help children and young people across the country thrive. Whether it’s through fancy dress, fun challenges, or a little friendly competition, every penny and every smile counts.

10 Ways to Fundraise For Children in Need

Here are some fun, easy, and contact-centre-friendly ideas to get your team fundraising for Children in Need 2025.

1. Fancy Dress Friday

Pick a theme, superheroes, pyjamas, or all things yellow, and encourage agents to donate £1–£2 to take part. You can even crown the “Best Dressed Agent” at the end of the day!

2. The Great Contact Centre Bake Off

Invite your bakers to bring in their best cakes, brownies, or Pudsey-themed treats. Sell slices at break time and vote for your star baker. Sweet treats and smiles guaranteed.

3. Pudsey’s Coffee Morning

Set up a mini café in your breakout area with tea, coffee, and baked goodies – with all proceeds going to Children in Need. Bonus points for “pay it forward” donations so everyone can enjoy a cuppa, even if they forget their change.

4. Gunge the Manager (Yes, Really!)

There’s nothing like the chance to see your Team Leader or Ops Manager get a custard pie to the face! Set a fundraising target and once it’s hit, get the gunge ready.

5. Teddy Bear’s Desk Day

Encourage everyone to bring their favourite childhood teddy to work. Charge a small donation per bear and have a prize for the “Best Dressed Teddy.” Extra points for creative costumes!

6. Charity Raffle or Auction

Ask local businesses (or your own leadership team!) to donate prizes. Raffle off fun perks like “Best Parking Spot”, “Early Finish Friday”, or “Extra Break Passes” — they always go down a treat.

7. Contact Centre’s Got Talent

Host a mini talent show during lunch or after hours. Singers, stand-up comics, impressionists, and even “fastest typers” – every act counts. Sell tickets and donate the proceeds.

8. “Decorate Your Pod” Competition

Challenge each team to deck out their workspace with a Children in Need theme. Whether it’s Pudsey patterns or full-on glitter explosions, this one always lifts spirits and brightens the floor.

9. Step Challenge

Get everyone moving! Use pedometers or phone apps to track daily steps and see which team can “walk” the furthest distance over the week. Small donation to enter, and a prize for the top team.

10. The Power of Small Change

Pop a few donation jars around the office – reception, break areas, or near vending machines – and see how much spare change you can collect by the end of the week. You’ll be amazed how quickly it adds up!

Make It Count

Children in Need is more than just a day on the calendar, it’s a chance for your contact centre to come together and make a real difference in children’s lives.

So however you choose to take part, have fun, get creative, and show what your team can do when it’s “all hands on deck for Pudsey!”
