Plantronics unified communications (UC) audio devices have met the Skype for Business certification standards.

Plantronics has announced its current portfolio of solutions qualified on Lync 2013 is fully compatible and certified for use with Microsoft’s new Skype for Business.

This new certification will help to ensure people sound their best when making voice and video calls.

Taking into account the importance of compatibility to its customers, the audio communications provider conducted internal testing to validate that the products performed as expected.

The certification also gives organisations an audio endpoint that works out of the box and provides integration with the Skype for Business communications platform.

The company will continue to assist Microsoft in deploying UC audio devices to their customers worldwide by providing them with a variety of resources to help IT managers through all the stages of their deployment.

“We are pleased to see Plantronics deliver solutions for Skype for Business to extend the communications experience and enable people everywhere to connect and achieve more together,” said Giovanni Mezgec, General Manager of Skype for Business Product Marketing at Microsoft.

“Organisations should expect the same high-quality level of products and service from Plantronics when they adopt Skype for Business,” said Bill Loewenthal, Vice President, Enterprise Product Solutions at Plantronics. “With our continued relationship, IT departments benefit from having a trusted vendor for audio solutions that work across multiple environments.”
