Zoom Expands into Hiring with BrightHire Acquisition

Zoom has announced its acquisition of BrightHire.

The move expands Zoom’s AI-first workplace platform into recruitment workflows, building on several years of collaboration between the two companies.

BrightHire, founded in 2019 and used by organisations including Canva, Duolingo, and HCA Healthcare, provides tools for planning, conducting, and analysing interviews.

Its features include AI-supported job descriptions, interview notes, summaries, feedback workflows, coaching insights, recordings, transcripts, and integrations with applicant tracking systems-while keeping human decision-making central.

By integrating BrightHire with Zoom and Workvivo, Zoom aims to offer a more connected talent lifecycle, from hiring to employee engagement.

BrightHire customers will continue using the platform across any environment, with access to additional resources and AI capabilities through Zoom.

The acquisition is expected to close in the coming weeks, with BrightHire’s team joining Zoom after completion.
