ISV Software are seeking contact centres to help launch a new tool to manage hidden disabilities.
The Ability Profiler has been developed by a team of psychologists with the support and input of Remploy and Do-IT Solutions.
It is an online tool designed to identify and manage less visible impairments; conditions like dyslexia, dyscalculia (maths difficulties); traits that would put an individual on the autism spectrum, or suggest depression or ADHD.
These conditions may not be known to the individual who has them; they could be mild or severe, impacting the individual’s life moderately or significantly. However, undiagnosed, these colleagues could be viewed as ‘problem colleagues’ or poor performers, when in fact, they’re just not guided in the right way. Pinpointing strengths allows employers to optimise talent appropriately.
How do you get involved?
What’s next for the project and Ability Profiler tool is to add some context to the software. It has been developed with the relevant scientific and medical expertise; however, the project management team are looking specifically for contact centres to give the Ability Profiler even more context.
Benefits and gains for your contact centre being involved include:
- Contributing to employee and social responsibilities
- Equality compliance
- Productivity gains through supporting colleagues’ strengths
- Increased self-awareness
- Retention of talent and reduction of recruitment costs
