8×8 Names Jamie Snaddon and Nerea Gandarias in New Roles

8×8 has announced two senior leadership appointments, with Nerea Gandarias replacing Jamie Snaddon as Managing Director for EMEA, while Snaddon moves into the newly created role of Chief Strategy Officer.

Both appointments take effect immediately, with the changes aimed at supporting the company’s growth strategy and strengthening its operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Jamie Snaddon Takes on Chief Strategy Officer Role

Snaddon, who has spent more than a decade at 8×8, will report directly to CEO Samuel Wilson.

In his new position, he will work alongside the executive leadership team to identify growth opportunities, assess investments and establish strategic priorities.

Previously, Snaddon oversaw 8×8’s EMEA operations, focusing on profitability, market share and customer growth. He also previously led the company’s European legal team.

Samuel Wilson, CEO of 8×8, said:

“Jamie has proven he can turn strategy into results. He understands our technology, our customers, and the markets in which we compete, and he’s been the lead on some really successful launches such as 8×8 Small Business and international expansions.

As communications and AI reshape our industry, Jamie will work with me and our leadership team to see where 8×8 is best positioned to win, and help translate our strategy into growth and long-term value creation.”

Commenting on his appointment, Snaddon said:

Nerea Gandarias to Lead EMEA Operations

Taking over from Snaddon, Gandarias will lead 8×8’s business across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

She has previously held the positions of Global Vice President of Field and Channel Marketing and UK Country Lead at 8×8, working with customers and partners throughout the region.

Before joining the company, Gandarias spent 13 years at SS&C Advent.

The appointments see 8×8 promote two existing leaders, with Gandarias taking responsibility for regional operations and Snaddon shifting his focus to company-wide strategy and growth opportunities.
