Firstsource Solutions unveiled a creative side to business with the official launch of the company’s first art exhibition as part of the City of Culture programme.
Firstsource, which employs over 1,500 people in two contact centres in Londonderry, has revealed a talented workforce. Ten creative employees will be showcasing a range of work at a public art exhibition at the Millennium Forum. Visitors will be encouraged to vote for their favourite piece throughout the duration of the display and the pieces will also be for sale to local art enthusiasts.
“Firstsource is delighted to be promoting our home-grown talent with our own exhibition and it’s encouraging to see employees developing their artistic skills. At Firstsource, we recognise the importance of personal growth and support employees to create a healthy work/life balance through a number of initiatives,” says Fraida Silver, Marketing Director for Firstsource Solutions.
“The art exhibition is just one of the City of Culture schemes that we are involved in. And as our encouragement of employees’ creative skills has been so popular in Londonderry, we are planning to roll out similar programmes in our other UK and Ireland contact centres.”
The exhibition features a range of artistic genres including painting and photography of some of the city’s most celebrated landmarks. The public vote will select the work of a Firstsource employee to be included in the Forum’s calendar for 2014 as well as a further solo exhibition at the venue.
