Crescendo Has Launched Multimodal AI

Crescendo has introduced Multimodal AI, a capability that brings together voice, text, and visual interactions in a single conversation.

The development marks what the company describes as an industry first, allowing customers to type, talk, share images, and connect devices without switching between channels.

The company says the new feature opens opportunities for more fluid, context-rich interactions.

Examples include a homeowner sharing a photo of a sprinkler issue while speaking to support, a shopper uploading a selfie to match cosmetics shades, or a driver describing a dashboard alert while AI connects to their vehicle for live assistance.

“We see huge potential in Crescendo’s Multimodal AI to change how our customers interact with Veer,” said Nick McKay, CEO of Veer, a manufacturer of all-terrain gear.

“If something happens on the trail, parents can instantly chat, talk, or share a photo of their Cruiser so we can help with no restarts. It’s the next step in making every experience feel as effortless as our products.”

Crescendo’s AI Assistants operates directly from verified company knowledge, product data, and policies, reducing the need for manual configuration and helping prevent AI hallucinations. The company reports response accuracy of 99.8 percent.

Matt Price, Crescendo’s co-founder and CEO, said the technology reflects a broader shift in the use of AI for customer experience. “The next wave will be all about using AI for CX innovation,” he said. “Multimodal AI is an example of this, but it can only be unleashed with a next-generation AI architecture.”

Multimodal AI builds on Crescendo’s existing AI Suite, which includes adaptive voice assistants, analytics tools, and integrations through Model Context Protocol (MCP) for real-time access to company data.

According to the company, existing users can add Multimodal AI within two weeks by leveraging their current knowledge base and integrations.
