Gateshead Contact Centre wins award

The winners with their awards

Contact centre and fulfilment specialists, Spark Response, have picked up the Large Business honour at the Culture For Success Awards 2012.

Gateshead-based Spark was announced one of the winners at the ninth annual Service Network awards, which were held at Newcastle’s Stand Comedy Club.

The awards recognise a company’s culture for achieving success, looking specifically at its approach to people, customer service, winning business and making an impact in the local community.

Spark, which is based at Follingsby Park, was named the winner in its category after judges visited the site and were impressed by its strong employee tenure, the ‘family feel’ of the business and the company’s efforts to reward and recognise staff at all levels.

On winning the Large Business category, Peter Slee, Managing Director, Spark Response, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to be taking this prestigious award home with us. It’s testament to the entire team at Spark. Culture is very much a part of our business and we’re pleased the judges managed to see what we see when they visited us recently.”

The Culture for Success Awards are designed to showcase the expertise, talent and passion of companies in the North East. They recognise the achievements of companies that demonstrate that they have a culture that fosters success in all areas of their business.
