One customer service centre has reached out to help one of the schools in its area.
A Tesco Customer Service Centre based in Llanishen has reached out to support Birchgrove Primary School. The staff and pupils were recently in need of a new shed for the Foundation Phase Department to house tools safely when not being used for their Gardening Club. The Eco-school encourages the children to improve their understanding and respect for other people and the environment, while allowing pupils to enjoy learning and develop lifelong learning skills in a creative environment.
“Local councillor Fenella Bowden approached us and asked if we could help the school with their storage issues,” said Mark Rowlands Community Team Leader from Tesco. “We embraced the challenge and took on the task of trying to source a new shed for the local school. He liaised with one of our suppliers at Tesco Direct to secure a new shed for the primary school.”
“Thank you to Tesco for your help with the arrangements,” said Mrs Sarah Morgan, Birchgrove Primary School Headteacher, on completion of the project. “We very much appreciate it and we’re looking forward to using it for many years to come.”
The Customer Service Centre also arranged to move a greenhouse from Jubilee Gardens to Birchgrove Primary School to further support the children’s learning about growing plants and vegetables.
