8×8 has introduced its new 8×8 Omni Shield Self-Service.

The no-code SMS fraud protection tool helps businesses detect and block threats such as Artificially Inflated Traffic (AIT) in real time.

Igor Mostovoy, Product Director, CPaaS at 8×8, said, “With 8×8 Omni Shield, our customers gain the visibility and control to stop fraud before it impacts their business or their brand. What used to take days now takes minutes – and that speed makes all the difference.”

Integrated into 8×8 Connect, the tool enables non-technical teams to manage fraud defence through a self-service dashboard.

Users are able to monitor live SMS traffic, receive alerts, block high-risk operators, and auto-suspend suspicious activity without developer support.

SMS-based fraud cost businesses an estimated $2.1 billion in 2023, driven by tactics like smishing, spoofing, and AIT.

Omni Shield aims to provide a proactive layer of protection with real-time insights and user-friendly controls, making fraud prevention accessible across product, operations, and security teams.
