Peopleware have launched Capacity Planning, a new solution designed to help organisations plan workforce requirements up to three years ahead.
The new capability enables teams to model different staffing scenarios and assess their potential impact on workforce capacity, service levels and costs.
It brings together workforce data, forecasts, contract information and cost insights in a single planning environment, helping organisations move away from fragmented spreadsheets and manual calculations.
“Strategic workforce decisions should not depend on spreadsheets or manual calculations,” said Peter Bollenbeck, CEO of Peopleware.
“Capacity Planning provides companies with a centralised AI-native planning environment where they can simulate various workforce strategies, compare their impact on capacity and costs and make decisions that are supported across operations, finance and senior management.”
Historically, many organisations have relied on separate tools and manually maintained spreadsheets across workforce management, operations, finance and HR teams.
This can make it challenging to compare staffing approaches, understand future capacity requirements and identify potential gaps before they affect operations.
Peopleware’s Capacity Planning solution allows organisations to compare staffing scenarios, evaluate available versus required capacity, factor in elements such as training and absences, and understand the cost implications of different workforce strategies.
The solution is designed to support a range of workforce planning needs. WFM teams can test future scenarios without managing multiple spreadsheet versions, operations teams can identify potential capacity risks earlier, and finance and HR teams can assess the cost impact of workforce decisions.
BPOs can also use the solution to support staffing estimates for customer proposals, while leadership teams can model strategic decisions such as expansion plans, outsourcing options or the impact of AI on future workforce requirements.
Capacity Planning is currently available as an add-on to Peopleware’s AI-native WFM suite, with plans to make it available as a standalone product on the Peopleware platform in the coming months.
