UJET Opens Portugal Office Following $76M Funding

UJET has opened its first office in Portugal, located in Porto, marking an expansion of its European operations and establishing the country as a regional technology hub.

The move follows a $76 million funding round in 2024, with backing from investors including Sapphire Ventures, GV, Kleiner Perkins and Citi Ventures.

Since its founding in 2015, the company has raised more than $150 million and now operates in over 20 countries across North America, Europe and Asia.

UJET employs more than 300 people globally, including over 60 in Portugal, and plans to expand its local presence by focusing on roles in software engineering and product management. The Porto office forms part of a broader European growth strategy centred on technology development.

Commenting on the expansion, Raúl Costa, Director of Business Operations at UJET said, “The opening of this office represents an important milestone for UJET and reflects our commitment to investing in talent and innovation in Europe.

Portugal offers us a very dynamic technological ecosystem, with highly qualified professionals who will be fundamental in driving the next generation of AI-powered CX solutions.”

The company’s entry into Portugal was supported through a partnership with Pixelmatters, which assisted with the setup of local operations.

The Porto office is expected to support ongoing development and delivery of its platform, as the company continues to expand its presence in Europe.
