Vonage has launched the Vonage Protection Suite for Okta.
The new multi-factor authentication (MFA) solution is designed to help organisations deliver one-time passwords (OTPs) with additional fraud protection built into the authentication process.
The pre-built connector integrates with Okta and is available through the Vonage Cloud Runtime Marketplace.
The company said the solution is designed to help enterprises meet Bring Your Own Telephony (BYOT) requirements without building their own telephony infrastructure.
The launch comes as organisations continue to expand MFA adoption while managing growing fraud risks linked to SMS and voice authentication, including artificially inflated traffic (AIT) and SIM swap attacks.
According to Vonage, the solution combines OTP delivery with fraud protection capabilities powered by mobile network intelligence through its Identity Insights and Fraud Defender technologies.
The platform validates phone numbers before messages are delivered and uses real-time fraud monitoring during authentication attempts.
“Enterprises using Okta need authentication that’s not just fast, but trustworthy, and that means going beyond basic message delivery to actively protect against fraud,” said Christophe Van de Weyer, President and Head of Business Unit API at Vonage.
“With the Vonage Protection Suite for Okta, we’re bringing together intelligent OTP delivery and network powered fraud protection in a single, ready-to-deploy solution, so security teams can focus on protecting their users, not building infrastructure. This makes Vonage an essential layer in identity and access management platforms.”
Vonage said the platform also includes features such as SMS-to-voice fallback, carrier routing, and sender ID management to support authentication delivery across global networks.
The company added that the self-service deployment model is intended to help organisations deploy authentication services more quickly without maintaining custom integrations.
