Walker Crips Group PLC has worked with RingCentral to create a customised cloud solution to lower operating expenses.

Walker Crips is a London-based financial services company. Its roots trace back to the 18th century, making it one of the oldest independent companies in the city, with nearly 300 employees that service 6 business units, including investment management, stockbrokers, wealth management, pensions, structured investments, and alternative investments.

Prior to partnering with RingCentral, Walker Crips operated on a legacy phone system that was costly and difficult to manage. Reluctant to continue purchasing more equipment for upgrades, Sean Lam, the group’s Managing Director, chose to embrace a fully cloud-based communications system.

According to Lam, he felt RingCentral was way ahead of other cloud communications and collaboration solutions when it came to innovation.

RingCentral and Walker Crips worked together to create a customised communications solution that not only lowered Walker Crips’ operating expenses but also complied with industry regulations, thanks to RingCentral’s open API platform.

Furthermore, RingCentral’s integration with Walker Crips’ CRM made the transition seamless. Lam appreciated that RingCentral had the ability to scale with Walker Crips’ growing business.

Walker Crips now has increased control of its communications capabilities and has greater flexibility and agility as an organisation.

In addition, employees are no longer tethered to their desks and have the freedom to work from anywhere, making them more productive.

By migrating to the cloud, Walker Crips now spends less time managing its communications systems and more time growing its business.
