Zoom and NVIDIA have announced an expanded partnership to deliver faster, more customizable, and cost-efficient AI solutions for enterprise users.
The collaboration integrates NVIDIA’s Nemotron open technologies into Zoom’s federated AI framework, supporting the latest version of Zoom AI Companion 3.0 across sectors including finance, healthcare, and government.
Zoom’s new hybrid language model architecture combines its proprietary Small Language Models (SLMs) – optimized for specific, low-latency tasks – with a fine-tuned Large Language Model (LLM) designed for complex reasoning.
This approach allows the system to intelligently route queries to the most effective model.
The partnership also introduces Zoom’s new 49-billion-parameter LLM, developed with NVIDIA Nemotron and NeMo tools to balance accuracy, cost, and speed.
By leveraging NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure and GPUs, Zoom’s AI Companion will enhance real-time transcription, translation, and summarization while extending its capabilities across commonly used enterprise tools such as Microsoft 365, Teams, Google Workspace, Slack, Salesforce, and ServiceNow.
“We’ve increased our speed and enhanced lower-cost model decision making using NVIDIA GPUs and AI software stack,” said X.D. Huang, Chief Technology Officer at Zoom.
“This partnership allows us to deliver powerful, security-focused, and scalable AI experiences to our customers at rapid speed.”
“The integration of NVIDIA Nemotron into Zoom AI Companion allows enterprises like NVIDIA to experience a private, powerful, and personalized work environment for enhanced productivity,” said Kari Briski, Vice President of Generative AI Software at NVIDIA.
The companies are positioning this initiative as part of a responsible AI strategy, designed with security and privacy at its core.
Zoom confirmed that no customer content – including audio, video, or chat data – is used to train its AI or any third-party models.
By combining open and proprietary AI innovation, the partnership aims to strengthen enterprise productivity, streamline collaboration, and set a foundation for future deployments in industries that demand high levels of data protection and performance.
