8×8 has appointed Boris Grinshpun as Global Vice President of Product Management, bringing more than 20 years of experience in enterprise technology, product development and AI-powered customer engagement.
Grinshpun, who took up the position on 12 October 2026, will lead 8×8’s global product management organisation, overseeing product strategy and development across its unified communications (UCaaS), contact centre (CCaaS) and communications platform (CPaaS) solutions.
His appointment comes as 8×8 continues to develop its AI capabilities, with a particular focus on integrating artificial intelligence into customer and employee communications.
Samuel Wilson, Chief Executive Officer at 8×8, said:
“The next era of customer experience will be defined by companies that can combine the power of AI with the reliability and performance of enterprise-grade communications.
“As agentic voice AI adoption accelerates, high-quality, dependable voice communications are more critical than ever. With decades of expertise in delivering carrier-grade voice, a deeply integrated CX platform, and a native AI development environment, we have the technology and vision to bring the next era of AI-powered customer experience to life for our customers.
“Boris brings the product leadership and proven track record of innovation and execution to help us turn our advantages into breakthrough customer experiences and measurable business outcomes.”
Grinshpun joins 8×8 from NiCE, where he served as Vice President of Product Portfolio, leading product strategy across outbound engagement, agent workspaces, CRM and AI.
During his time at NiCE, he oversaw the integration of acquired technologies into the company’s customer experience platform, supported the launch of AI-powered products and helped generate more than $25 million in bookings through new product packaging and pricing strategies.
Before joining NiCE, Grinshpun was Vice President of Product and Strategy at LiveVox, where he helped expand the company’s offering from a standalone solution into a broader customer engagement platform. LiveVox was subsequently acquired by NiCE.
Earlier in his career, he co-founded financial technology company Terafina, which was acquired by NCR, and held product leadership positions at U.S. Bank, Wells Fargo and HSBC.
Commenting on his appointment, Grinshpun said:
“8×8 is at a pivotal moment.
“The company’s 8×8 Platform for CX has the foundation and ability to make AI-powered customer experiences work at scale, and the ambition to lead the next wave of customer experience.
“I look forward to continuing to partner with our talented product team to accelerate the roadmap and deliver innovations that make a measurable difference for our customers.”
In his new role, Grinshpun will be responsible for shaping 8×8’s product roadmap as the company develops its integrated communications and AI-powered customer experience offerings.
