A new report shows a clear backlash against offshoring, with 60% expecting to reduce the number of offshore workers.
A new report, the Back Office Processing Survey 2013, has highlighted that almost 60% of organisations polled expect to reduce the number of offshore workers compared to only 7% who were planning to increase numbers.
The report was carried out by RedOwl and The Professional Planning Forum, polling nearly 200 senior executives running Back Office Processing Operations over a period of 3 months.
“There is some really interesting reading in these survey results,” commented RedOwl CEO Julian Harper. “It was good to see the growing positive impact of the back office on customer perceptions and a general grasp of the need to innovate.”

Colin Whelan
Colin Whelan, Head of Operations at the Planning Forum, noted: “This is an important survey. It underscores how the Back Office Processing Operation is coming out of the shadows and taking centre stage as organisations seek to grasp the entire process from end-to-end to deliver the best customer experience and optimise costs.”
