Basic salary is top motivator in job satisfaction survey

Cactus Search have launched the results of their job satisfaction survey.  The top motivator for job satisfaction is basic salary.

Other motivators are;

1. Location/ Commute
2. Flexi-time/Home working
3. Holiday allowance
4. Bonus
5. Pension
6. Others; On-site parking, Helath cover, car/ car allowance and creche/ childcare

The benchmarking exercise was run as a result of a discussion about the real needs of candidates at different levels and the observation that sometimes the things that drive a career move are not just to do with salary or location as you might assume.

The study was completed by 520 candidates over a five-week period and has been broken down by job role, focusing on:

• The Job
• The Future
