RESPONSE has handed over a cheque for £21,470 to Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, as a result of fundraising efforts over the last 18 months.
Yorkhill Children’s Foundation was chosen by employees at RESPONSE as the company’s nominated charity, which resulted in a number of fundraising efforts being carried out, from talent contests and comedy nights to walking on hot coals at 1236 degrees Fahrenheit!
The money will help pay for in-patient simultaneous EEG/Video telemetry equipment, which is used to help diagnose children with epilepsy, one of the most common, yet serious, neurological disorders of childhood.
Brian Bannatyne, managing director of RESPONSE, said: “It’s been a hugely rewarding experience to have all come together as a company and contribute towards a vital piece of equipment that will have a beneficial impact on the lives of children. The enthusiasm and energy among employees to get involved and find new challenges and initiatives has been fantastic. Our company culture is built on employee engagement and our charity activities contribute greatly towards RESPONSE being a great place to work.”
Kirsten Sinclair, Fundraising Manager at Yorkhill Children’s Foundation, said: “We’d like to give a big thank you to RESPONSE for the incredible amount of money raised. The dedication and effort everyone has put in is remarkable and we really appreciate everything they have achieved.”
