Contact centre donates £20,000 to school’s reading programme 507 Filed under - Archived Content Fusion officially opened the Highfield Community library following its continued support of the school. The contact centre has donated £20,000 to the school’s reading programme, which has resulted in investment in hundreds of books as well as attracting reading mentors and story tellers. Fusion has also taken part in the ‘Right to Read’ programme where employees volunteer time to help local children to improve their literacy. Simon Marshall, Headmaster at Highfield Community School, said: “We are grateful for Fusion’s continued support of our reading schemes. The partnership has been a great success, with over 100 children already benefiting from the programmes. The many volunteering hours provided by Fusion employees have been invaluable to our pupils’ improved reading skills. The schemes are giving the children a great foundation to develop their education and fulfil their potential.” Tony Barrett, Contact Centre Manager at Fusion, added: “We are proud to support Highfield School and in turn our local community. It gives us the opportunity to ‘give something back’ to the next generation and use our skills to help children build their confidence when reading.
