Five9 Appoints Amit Mathradas as New CEO

Five9 has announced the appointment of Amit Mathradas as their new Chief Executive Officer and a member of its Board of Directors, effective 2 February 2026.

Mathradas will succeed Mike Burkland, who previously announced his intention to retire from the CEO role. Burkland will remain on the Board and support the leadership transition.

Mathradas most recently served as CEO of Nintex, where he led the development of an AI-centric, agentic business orchestration platform and oversaw operations supporting more than 7,000 organisations across over 90 countries.

Prior to Nintex, he was President and Chief Operating Officer at Avalara, contributing to significant growth before the company’s acquisition by Vista Equity Partners in 2022.
